25yr
Workmanship guarantee on every new pitched roof we fit
A selection from 2,400+ roofs completed across Chelmsford and Writtle.
Chelmsford has Victorian terraces near the city centre, inter-war semis in Broomfield and Springfield, and plenty of flat-roofed extensions and garages. Slipped tiles, tired felt and leaking valleys are the usual jobs. We find what has actually failed, show you photos and put the price in writing first.
We live and work in the same towns we serve. We know the local housing stock and which jobs give trouble round here. No franchise, no subcontractors shipped in from elsewhere.
Your written quote is the price you pay. We itemise every cost upfront. No "while we're here" extras, no surprise invoices when the job is done.
Call or fill in the form and someone rings you back the same day. We confirm a visit date on that first call. No chasing, no voicemail loops.
Public liability and employer's liability insurance in place on every job. We can email certificates before work starts, so there's no chasing needed.

“I started Sherlock Roofing Ltd with one simple rule - if I wouldn't accept it on my own house, it doesn't go on yours. Most of our work today comes from word of mouth and second jobs from happy customers. That's how I know we're doing it right.”
